Academic Course Selections
WestShore Centre for Learning & Training offers a range of courses offered in a variety of formats to fit your learning style and schedule.
Day, Evening & Weekend classes
For those who learn best:
- With a more structured timetable
- Under the guidance of a teacher
- When listening and discussing in a group
Attend scheduled seminars and tutorials, days or evenings. Courses begin September and February and July.
For those who:
- Want to graduate quickly
- Can attend classes four or five days a week
- Prefer a relaxed learning environment
- Need more teacher guidance in their learning process
Adults can complete graduation requirements in one semester. Students participate in project-based activities such as construction, sports, video and art projects.
For youth and young adults who are looking for:
- A more personal connection to learning
- Flexible course and learning options
- Small classes in a safe learning environment
Students in Grades 10 to 12 experience a blend of classroom, guided online, technology and community-based activities.
For students who have taken Grade 9 but are not quite ready for entry into grade 10:
- Focuses on individual student strengths
- Builds a solid academic foundation
- Small classes in a safe learning environment
Students work together in a supportive small class environment.
For those who:
- Require a flexible schedule
- Work well independently
- Have excellent organizational skills
Continuous enrolment. Work on a computer at home or at WestShore Centre. Teacher support is available face-to-face and online.
