Scott Morrish | Director
Scott Morrish is the founding member and Director of Silver Barrel Solutions. Scott has achieved success in the business world and has a strong background in operations management and project co-ordination. As an experienced web developer, Scott brings a blend of business, customer service and technological ability to his lead role at Silver Barrel Solutions. Business Director: Scott has an extensive management background, including eight years spent as a corporate restaurant manager with soft drink and restaurant giant, Pepsico. Previously a member of the Toronto Real Estate Board and Ontario Real Estate Association, he has strong ties to the business community.
Website Developer: Scott is an experienced web developer having knowledge in CSS, HTML, Java scripting, PHP, AJAX, system administration and graphic design. He routinely leads concept design, is closely involved with project management, and maintains personal contact with all Silver Barrel clients.
Instructor: Scott previously taught introductory website design and development at the WestShore Learning Centre. This weekly course gave students the necessary skills to develop and maintain a website along with invaluable first-hand industry experience. At the time, this course was a prerequisite for the website development program at Camosun College.
Business Experience: After attending Wilfred Laurier University, Scott joined the ranks of Pepsico in 1991. Upon spending eight years as a Corporate Restaurant Manager, he made the decision to leave Pepsico to pursue a career in real estate and became a member of the Toronto Real Estate Board and the Ontario Real Estate Association. In 2000, Scott also pursued his interest in the technology industry. It was during this time that the members of EdgeFlow Media first began working together on several projects. As a result, this new company grew into a successful creative advertising agency with Scott and Jason van der Valk at the helm.
In May of 2005, Scott created Silver Barrel Solutions as a website hosting company to service the needs of both existing and new clients that he was dealing with. The personal, ‘make it easy’ approach that Silver Barrel Solutions took towards hosting and domain management made it an instant winner.
In the spring of 2009, Silver Barrel Solutions grew to become the creative advertising firm that it is today. Scott is committed to his role in leading Silver Barrel Solutions as well as nurturing many of the past business relationships that he has created over the years.
