Elements of a Great Website in 2016

Technology, design trends, software and your website audience is constantly evolving.  It's important to stay focused on the factors that make a website great.  Here's our list of the key elements for 2016.

Responsive, Engaging Design is a Must
Your website MUST be mobile friendly in 2016.  Not only will you lose viewers who are on a mobile device, Google will also punish non-mobile friendly website in their search rankings. It goes without saying that the design should reflect your brand in an engaging and professional way.

SEO and Mobile Optimization for 2016

When asked what the single most important emerging SEO trend will be for 2016, Navneet Kaushal, CEO of PageTraffic said:

"That’s easy. Clearly, mobile optimization will take front and center stage this year. Marketers who neglect to specifically target people using mobile devices will not only be limiting their reach, but they’ll also be effectively committing SEO suicide." *

Domain Phishing Attacks

Many high-profile domain registrars are being targeted by a massive phishing attack against domain owners. The fraudulent emails claim that a particular domain name has been suspended and ask users to click a link.

If you receive an email like this, there is no problem with your domain and there is nothing you need to do.

WordPress Security Update

Action Required:

Multiple WordPress Plugins are vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting (XSS) due to the misuse of the add_query_arg() and remove_query_arg() functions. These are popular functions used by developers to modify and add query strings to URLs within WordPress.
